As part of Ain Shams University’s commitment to continuous monitoring of the examination process, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the end-of-first-semester examinations at the Faculties of Pharmacy, Arts, and Computer and Information Sciences, to ensure the regularity of exams and the provision of an appropriate and supportive environment for students.

During his visit to the Faculty of Arts, he was accompanied by Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. At the Faculty of Pharmacy, he was accompanied by Prof. Rehab Othman, Acting Dean of the Faculty, while at the Faculty of Computers and Information he was accompanied by Prof. Hala Mosher, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in addition to Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.
The tour included inspecting several examination committees and reviewing the medical and administrative service facilities within the faculties, to ensure their readiness and the availability of all necessary support and care for students throughout the examination period.
During the tour, Professor Ramy Maher Ghali reviewed the regularity of the examination process, the implementation of governing regulations and procedures, compliance with examination paper specifications, and the diversity of questions to adequately assess students’ knowledge and skills. He also emphasized maintaining calm and discipline inside examination halls, preventing overcrowding, prohibiting the entry of mobile phones or any other technological devices, and enforcing the rule that no student is allowed to enter after question papers have been distributed.

The Vice President stressed the importance of providing a safe and well-organized examination environment, ensuring the presence of course instructors inside examination halls to respond to students’ inquiries, and addressing any emergency situations promptly. He further emphasized the continuous presence of faculty members and staff throughout the examination period, strict adherence to disciplinary regulations, activation of mechanisms to combat all forms of cheating, and fully briefing invigilators on examination regulations, in order to ensure fairness and integrity for all students.
He also affirmed the University’s commitment to providing full support for integrated students and students with special needs, offering all necessary accommodation during examinations to ensure equal opportunities and a suitable examination environment for all.

At the conclusion of the tour, the Vice President stressed the importance of completing marking processes promptly after each exam and expediting the announcement of first-semester results, in line with Ain Shams University’s commitment to maintaining the regularity of the educational process and serving students’ best interests. He commended the efforts exerted by deans, vice deans, faculty members, staff, and relevant administrative departments in supervision and follow-up, noting that the high level of discipline observed during the tour reflects the distinguished and civilizational image of Ain Shams University.
