Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Farid Moharram El-Garhy, Dean of the Faculty of Business, announced the raising of maximum readiness to welcome students for the second semester. He confirmed that all academic procedures have been completed, starting with the announcement of first-semester results and the activation of the electronic add/drop system for courses, ensuring a stable and smooth launch of the academic term from day one.
In an exceptional step to support excellence, the Dean decided to transfer the top ten students in the Arabic section (general system) to the credit-hour system free of charge, in recognition of their outstanding performance. The academic calendar and class schedules have also been approved, considering students’ previous evaluations, with faculty members assigned to chair examination committees to ensure the highest standards of academic discipline.
On the professional development front, Dr. El-Garhy announced the approval of a package of training programs and student activities in cooperation with major banking institutions and companies, providing students with practical, real-world training opportunities. This comes alongside the launch of the Continuing Education Center, which will serve as the cornerstone for development programs and for building students’ competitive skills in the labor market.
Regarding facilities development, the faculty has witnessed a comprehensive upgrade to its infrastructure, including maintenance of lecture halls and laboratories, enhancement of internet networks, and modernization of the French Language Section classrooms. Special attention has also been given to students with disabilities through the preparation of accessible pathways and ramps, as well as the development of designated seating areas within lecture halls to ensure ease of movement and full integration into the educational process.
Concluding his remarks, the Dean affirmed the readiness of security and medical systems, noting that fire safety systems have been inspected, the medical center has been supplied with necessary medications, and public facilities, including sports fields, mosques, and walkways, have been maintained. Electrical connections and drainage systems have also been secured to address potential weather fluctuations, ensuring the faculty is fully prepared to receive its students in a safe, supportive, and motivating educational environment.
