Successful conclusion of the "Women's Health Imaging" program at the Faculty of Medicine amidst widespread praise for the scientific content and practical training

As part of Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting continuing medical education and transferring expertise to new generations of physicians, the Training Unit of the Diagnostic Radiology Department at the Faculty of Medicine concluded its intensive training program, "Women's Imaging," which was held over four consecutive days. The program achieved remarkable success and saw outstanding participation from radiology specialists.

The program was held under the auspices of Prof. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, and under the supervision of Prof. Amani Rashad, Head of the Diagnostic Radiology Department, and organized by Dr. Karim Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Training Programs Unit in the department.

The program featured advanced and comprehensive scientific content covering the latest international standards and protocols in diagnosing gynecological and fetal diseases. The sessions during the first two days focused on fetal imaging, starting with examinations during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, progressing through Doppler techniques, and culminating in advanced examinations such as fetal MRI and fetal echocardiography. This enhances the accuracy of early diagnosis and contributes to improved healthcare outcomes for both mother and fetus.

The final days were dedicated to discussing advanced applications of MRI in gynecology. Sessions covered the classification of ovarian tumors according to the MRI-ORADS system, the diagnosis of endometriosis, and uterine and cervical tumors. In addition, specialized interactive workshops were held on infertility cases and pelvic imaging techniques, allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life cases under the supervision of leading professors from the department.

Prof. Noha Diaa El-Din Zaki, Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and General Supervisor of the program, confirmed that the course achieved its educational and training goals with high efficiency, thanks to the combination of specialized scientific lectures and direct practical training (Hands-on), in addition to discussing interactive cases, which contributed to raising the efficiency of the participating doctors and enhancing their diagnostic skills according to the latest global practices.

The program received widespread praise from participants, who expressed their appreciation for its high scientific level and professional organization. They affirmed that the training content reflected practical realities and helped them develop their professional performance. They also expressed their hope for the continuation of such high-quality programs that contribute to improving the medical system and enhancing the quality of healthcare services.
