In light of the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces regarding the localization of modern industries and technologies, the Egyptian Applied Knowledge Company for Research and Services (MAKERS) was established as an Egyptian joint-stock company affiliated with the Armed Forces Land Projects Authority and under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, to invest in modern technology fields.
In this context, and under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and with the coordination and organization of Prof. Nevin Assem, CEO of the Innovation and Training Sector,
Ain Shams University is organizing its first specialized scientific workshop entitled: “Bio-Resonance Pulses (BRP) Technology for the Detection and Control of Agricultural Pests and the Treatment of Bacterial Pathogens.” The workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the MPU Hall – Ground Floor – IHub Building, Ain Shams University.
The workshop aims to introduce the latest scientific applications of this promising technology and highlight its role in supporting applied scientific research in the agricultural and medical fields. This will be achieved by introducing BRP technology and its research and practical applications, encouraging applicable scientific research using this technology, supporting the international dissemination of research findings, and enhancing applied scientific output and the university's research competitiveness.
The workshop is designed for faculty staff, teaching assistants, graduate students, and undergraduate students in the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, Agriculture, and Engineering.
The workshop will be presented by a select group of experts and specialists, including Major General Engineer Ahmed Amin, inventor of the detection technology and Managing Director of MAKERS Company; Major General Dr. Mohamed Salah, Consultant of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endoscopy, and Head of the Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Departments at Maadi Military Hospital, who will address the medical and applied health aspects of the technology; Prof. Salah Gamil, expert in Integrated Pest Management; and Dr. Nevin El-Essawy, Head of the Commercial and Projects Sector at MAKERS Company.
