Ain Shams University held its annual Iftar banquet at the Zaffran Palace, where Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, the university president, welcomed a distinguished group of state officials and public figures who joined the university community in this annual Ramadan tradition.
The event was attended by Dr. Hussein Eissa, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs; Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Counselor Hani Hanna, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza; and Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs. Also a number of university presidents, council secretaries, leaders from the Ministry of Higher Education and Ain Shams University, members of the Board of Trustees of Ain Shams National University, and several public figures, religious leaders, and a select group of chairmen and editors-in-chief of Egyptian newspapers and media personalities, attended the event.

During the event, Dr. Abdulaziz Qansouh emphasized that this Iftar is part of an annual tradition that universities are keen to organize, contributing to strengthening social ties, fostering camaraderie, and promoting teamwork. He noted that it represents an important opportunity to exchange perspectives and discuss issues related to developing the educational process and enhancing cooperation among various state institutions.
The Minister also commended the efforts of faculty staff, teaching assistants, and administrative staff at the universities, affirming that they represent the cornerstone of the higher education system and play a pivotal role in supporting development efforts and raising the level of institutional performance.
For his part, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that the university's organization of the annual Iftar banquet embodies a long-standing tradition that reflects the spirit of belonging and communication between the university community and its partners from the nation's leadership and prominent figures.
