The midterm examinations for students of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University have commenced, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Sayed Abdullah, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit.
Prof. Hanan Kamel affirmed that the faculty continuously strives to develop its teaching and assessment mechanisms in line with Ain Shams University’s direction toward comprehensive digital transformation. She noted that the implementation of electronic examinations represents an important step toward enhancing transparency and accuracy in evaluation, as well as developing students’ ability to engage positively with educational technology.
She emphasized that the faculty is keen on providing a comfortable and well-organized examination environment and offering all necessary technical and administrative support to ensure the highest standards of quality and academic discipline.
The examinations are being held in the university laboratories located at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, with seven committees operating daily and accommodating a total of approximately 5,700 male and female students. The exams follow an accurate electronic system that ensures order and transparency, with on-ground supervision by the faculty administration and academic staff, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to providing a safe and organized academic environment for its students.
The organization of electronic examinations comes as part of the faculty’s plan to modernize its measurement and evaluation system and to employ technology in advancing the educational process. This aligns with the University’s digital transformation vision across its various sectors, which aims to enhance the quality of educational and administrative services, improve resource management efficiency, and streamline communication between all stakeholders in the educational process, in support of sustainable development goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
