In line with the strategy of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University to strengthen its leadership in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, and to keep pace with the rapidly evolving global shifts in innovation and digital transformation, the faculty organized a scientific seminar addressing the role of agentic artificial intelligence in software development and testing, titled:
“From Prompts to Power: Agentic AI Shift,” in collaboration with experts from the Information Technology Institute (ITI).
The seminar was held under the patronage of Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty. It featured participation from Dr. Amany Shousha, Head of Software Testing and Quality Assurance at ITI, and Dr. Eman Hesham, Executive Director of ITI. The event was supervised by Prof. Rania El-Gohary, Professor in the Information Systems Department, Dr. Yasmine Afifi, Assistant Professor in the same department, and Teaching Assistants Eng. Salma Mamdouh and Eng. Yasmine Shaban.

The seminar witnessed remarkable attendance and strong engagement from students, alongside faculty members and teaching assistants, reflecting the faculty’s continued support for impactful scientific events.
Discussions focused on the transition toward agentic AI, in addition to exploring future labor market requirements for 2026, including technical skills, professional readiness, and interview preparation skills. This came within the framework of strengthening the link between academic learning and practical application and preparing graduates capable of competing and innovating in the job market.
