As part of Ain Shams University’s plan to support and implement the National Reading Project in line with Egypt Vision 2030—which includes organizing introductory seminars to raise awareness of the project among university students, a number of awareness seminars were held across various faculties under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
The events were coordinated and administratively supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector.

The Faculties of Mass Communication and Pharmacy hosted two introductory seminars attended by the Deans and Vice Deans, along with the coordinators of the National Reading Project at both faculties, in an atmosphere that reflected a strong commitment to promoting a culture of reading among students.
Prof. Abdel Moneim Zaki, University Coordinator of the National Reading Project, delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of reading in raising youth awareness and its pivotal role in supporting their active participation in Egypt’s development process across various sectors. He also outlined the project’s objectives, competition levels, summarization guidelines, evaluation and judging criteria, and responded to students’ inquiries regarding registration procedures and participation steps.

At the conclusion of the seminars, the Project Coordinator expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership of the Faculties of Mass Communication and Pharmacy for hosting these events, which contributed to expanding student participation. He also extended his gratitude to the University leadership for their continued support of the project, praising the active role of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, represented by the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Cultural Activities Department, and commending the efforts made to increase the number of participants, especially after the number of registered students from within the University exceeded 2,000.
The introductory seminars are scheduled to continue in the coming period across the University’s remaining faculties, in support of strong and distinguished participation by Ain Shams University in the National Reading Project, and in affirmation of its leading role in the fields of culture and enlightenment.
