The event was organized in partnership with the Innovation and Creativity Unit at the Faculty of Business, Ain Shams University, which presented the students with innovative ideas for the competition under the supervision of Dr. Mayvel Nabil Ramsis, the unit's director. A group of experts from major companies and investment funds also participated in the panel discussions, amidst a large student turnout reflecting a growing interest in entrepreneurship and modern technology solutions at the Faculty of Business.
During his speech, Dr. Farid Muharram emphasized that "the progress of nations is measured by the advancement of their universities in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship." He explained that innovation and entrepreneurship have become an essential component and a necessity for modern universities, not an optional extra. He pointed out that universities that do not embrace a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation "will become schools, not universities." He further noted that the university's role extends beyond traditional education to include leading development and industry, and launching technological revolutions, most notably artificial intelligence.
Farid Muharram explained that the competition is part of the faculty's strategy to support student creativity and connect ideas with practical realities, aiming to cultivate a generation capable of contributing to the development of the national economy and achieving the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030. He emphasized that the college is working to provide innovative pathways that help students develop their ideas into business models and real investment opportunities.
