The President of Ain Shams University explained that organizing celebratory activities during the first week of classes has become a tradition that the University is keen to maintain, providing students with an opportunity to learn about the various facilities, activities, and services available across the University.

He pointed out that the University’s core mission is education and scientific research, while emphasizing that character building is also an important part of the university experience, enabling students to discover their abilities and engage in activities that match their interests and aspirations.

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abidin affirmed that the University provides students with ample opportunities to work on their personal development and build their character through participation in sports, arts, and other available activities.

He stressed the importance of ensuring that students’ participation in various activities contributes positively to their development and enhances their capabilities, while emphasizing the need for effective time management and a balance between engagement in university life and academic study and achievement.

The University President noted that Ain Shams University’s size and academic excellence may lead some to describe it as a challenging university, explaining that this is also reflected in the quality of its educational outcomes.

He affirmed that the University provides students with ample room to explore opportunities and develop themselves, noting that students’ efforts to build their capabilities and prepare themselves effectively benefit not only their own future but also their country.

He explained that preparing students to become successful individuals capable of making meaningful contributions also enables them to play an active role in serving their country.

Improving Services... The University Listens to Students’ Feedback

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abidin affirmed that the University continuously works to improve the services provided to students, noting that some areas may require further development or enhancement.

He encouraged students to share their feedback regarding any services or facilities they believe need improvement through the available official channels, whether through the Student Union or the activities departments within the Education and Student Affairs Sector.

He stressed that the University administration listens to students’ feedback and works to review and address their concerns, contributing to the continuous development of the services provided to them.

The President of Ain Shams University extended his appreciation to the Education and Student Affairs Sector and all those responsible for student activities in recognition of their efforts in organizing the new academic year welcome celebration and presenting the event in such a distinguished manner.
