Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, toured the University's pavilion participating in the 19th edition of the EDUGATE 2026 International Higher Education and Training Exhibition and Forum.

They were accompanied by Prof. Mohamed Salheen, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Ain Shams National University, in the presence of university representatives and several senior higher education officials in Egypt.

EDUGATE is one of the largest higher education exhibitions and forums in the Middle East and the Arab region. This year's edition is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Association of Arab Universities.

Represented by its Education and Student Affairs Sector, Ain Shams University is participating as a Strategic Partner in the 19th edition of EDUGATE 2026, held from 28 to 30 July 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EECA) in New Cairo. The University's participation reflects its commitment to strengthening its presence at major educational events and showcasing its distinguished academic programs, alongside a wide range of Egyptian and international universities and educational institutions, reinforcing EDUGATE's position as one of the region's leading higher education and study-abroad exhibitions.

The University's participation is held under the patronage of Professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Professor Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed El-Gamal, Head of the Central Administration of the President's Sector; Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Dalia Youssef, Director of the University's Central E-Learning Unit; and Ms. Reham El-Otifi, General Director of the General Administration of Education and Student Affairs.

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen affirmed that Ain Shams University adopts a comprehensive vision for advancing higher education by continuously updating its academic programs and aligning them with global developments through the integration of complementary learning tracks and micro-credentials. This approach responds to local and international labor market needs while supporting the transition toward a more flexible education system focused on developing professional skills and competencies.

He added that the University offers an integrated portfolio of distinguished credit-hour programs across various disciplines, including specialized programs in Computer and Information Sciences and Artificial Intelligence, alongside innovative medical programs at the Faculty of Medicine incorporating the latest medical specialties. The University also offers high-quality programs at the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration in both Arabic and English in the fields of Accounting and Auditing, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Marketing, in addition to the innovative language and translation programs offered by the Faculties of Al-Alsun (Languages) and Arts. These programs are delivered according to the highest academic quality standards, preparing graduates capable of competing in local, regional, and international labor markets.

For his part, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali stated that Ain Shams University's participation in EDUGATE 2026 stems from its commitment to engaging directly with prospective students, parents, and those interested in higher education, introducing them to the University's diverse academic offerings and the outstanding educational and research opportunities it provides in line with the latest global developments and labor market demands.

He noted that EDUGATE is one of the region's premier educational events, bringing together leading universities, academic institutions, and educational service providers while offering a platform for exchanging expertise and exploring the latest trends and innovations in higher education, thereby contributing to educational quality enhancement and strengthening collaboration among academic institutions.

He explained that the University is showcasing a wide range of modern academic programs in medicine, engineering, information technology, business, languages and translation, sciences, and other disciplines that meet international standards, in addition to postgraduate programs and specialized services designed for students with disabilities, reflecting the University's commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Professor Ghali further emphasized that Ain Shams University's distinguished academic programs represent a pioneering model for the development of university education. These programs comply with the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) and combine academic study with practical training to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills required to compete successfully in today's labor market.

He added that several of these programs enable students to earn dual degrees—one from Ain Shams University and another from an international partner university. Some programs also offer interdisciplinary studies that integrate multiple fields of knowledge while emphasizing practical applications, enhancing graduates' readiness for the evolving demands of the labor market.

He also noted that these programs are delivered in state-of-the-art lecture halls and laboratories equipped with the latest technologies. Admission to some programs requires passing entrance examinations or meeting minimum prerequisite subject requirements, reflecting the University's commitment to maintaining the quality of its educational outcomes and sustaining the growing demand for these programs.
