The Dean of The Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences reviews robotics and artificial intelligence projects serving the community at the RoboTech Exhibition

Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, affirmed that the “RoboTech” Exhibition comes within the framework of linking academic study with practical application and applied projects, with the aim of preparing students for the labor market and enhancing their capabilities in modern technology fields.

During a televised interview on Extra News, she explained that the exhibition featured more than 30 diverse student projects, including applications supporting people with disabilities, educational software development, and interactive projects based on computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, in addition to robotics and digital game development projects.

She added that among the most prominent participating projects were “Air Defense,” designed for automated target tracking, and “Ematra,” which analyzes facial expressions during studying to improve learning efficiency and time management, as well as “Spectra Sense,” a project for metal classification using artificial intelligence technologies. She emphasized that these models reflect the actual needs of the labor market.

She concluded by stressing that students successfully employed artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and computer vision technologies to develop innovative practical solutions that serve society. She also noted that some projects could contribute to fields such as recycling, metal detection, and operations in harsh environments, expressing her pride in the students’ capabilities and creativity.
