Believing in the role of youth in building society, and keen to promote a culture of volunteerism and effective community participation, Ain Shams University continues its efforts to support initiatives that contribute to understanding societal issues and transforming them into practical and sustainable solutions. This is achieved through the Community Observatory Portal, an interactive platform that combines awareness, analysis, and fieldwork.
Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Rami Maher, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Gihan Ragab, Supervisor of the Community Observatory Portal.
The Community Observatory Portal at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent, continues its role in translating the monitoring of societal phenomena into practical steps and realistic solutions that contribute to supporting the community and achieving sustainable development.
The observatory relies on engaging students in analyzing various societal issues and scientifically understanding community needs, thereby enhancing the role of youth in community participation and the development of impactful volunteer initiatives.
The observatory also aims to cultivate students' critical thinking, analytical, and teamwork skills, preparing a cadre of young people capable of offering innovative ideas and effective initiatives that serve the community and address contemporary challenges.
These efforts reflect Ain Shams University's commitment to supporting a culture of volunteerism and empowering students to actively participate in building a more conscious and cooperative society.
