The Faculty of Arts Organizes Occupational Health and Safety Training for Its Administrative Staff

The Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University organized a training course aimed at promoting occupational health and safety awareness among its administrative staff to ensure a safe and supportive educational environment. The initiative was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, University President; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and supervised by Prof. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

   
   

The course, titled “Occupational Health and Safety… Towards a Safe Work Environment,” was presented by Dr. Dalia Said, Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Office for West and Central Cairo, and covered key awareness topics emphasizing the importance of following safety procedures in educational institutions, methods for preventing potential hazards, and proper handling of emergency situations. The duration of the course was four hours.

Prof. Hanan Kamel praised the efforts of the Community Service Sector in implementing such essential initiatives, emphasizing that fostering a culture of occupational safety is a real necessity in educational institutions, as it enhances performance quality and reflects the university’s commitment to the health and safety of its staff and students.

Prof. Hanan Salem highlighted that the course is part of a series of activities designed to provide participants with both theoretical and practical knowledge, noting that participants will receive certificates of completion in recognition of their commitment and engagement in the training.

In a gesture of appreciation, Prof. Hanan Salem honored Dr. Dalia Said with a certificate of recognition for her scientific and professional contributions, followed by commemorative photographs with all participants.
