The fourth and largest edition of Ain Shams University’s Career Week “ASU Career Week 2025” has been launched. The event was organized by the University’s Career Center under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.

The event was attended by Dr. Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister of Higher Education for Strategic Planning, Training, and Workforce Qualification; Prof. Neven Assem, CEO of the Innovation and Training Sector; Dr. Ola Samy, Director of the Career Center; as well as several deans, vice deans, and company representatives.
In her opening speech, delivered on behalf of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, Prof. Ghada Farouk welcomed students, alumni, and company representatives. She emphasized that the Career Week represents a pioneering model of cooperation between the university and the labor market, reflecting the significant development of the university’s guidance and employment system.

Prof. Ghada Farouk praised the concept of Career Week, noting that participation increases year after year and that the university continually develops academic and training programs in line with labor market needs. She highlighted the university’s commitment to providing employment opportunities for its graduates and equipping them with the latest skills.
Prof. Amany Osama Kamel extended thanks and appreciation to the sponsoring and participating companies, praising the excellence of Ain Shams University graduates across various fields and encouraging students to benefit from the event and develop skills that meet labor market requirements.

Dr. Ayman Farid praised Ain Shams University and its Career, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Center for their efforts in preparing students, noting that the event is a key part of the Ministry of Higher Education’s strategy to develop graduates capable of competing in both local and global labor markets.
Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the University Alumni Association, expressed her happiness at the Association’s participation in the event, emphasizing that it offers a unique opportunity to showcase graduates’ skills, connect with employers, and present success stories of alumni holding leadership positions in both public and private sectors.
Dr. Ola Samy, Director of the Career Center, explained that Career Week helps students understand the labor market and its requirements, appreciating the participation of various companies and the role of 500 student volunteers in making the event a success. She also thanked the deans and participating companies for their support and cooperation.
During the event, deans of colleges participating in the “Be Ready” initiative, part of the Presidential “Alliance and Development” initiative under the Ministry of Higher Education, were honored. This included Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun; and Prof. Farid Moharram, Dean of the Faculty of Business, along with student volunteers from various faculties in recognition of their outstanding efforts.
The Career Week is held over five days at the Career Center in the University City, Abbasia, with participation from 53 major local and international companies, making it the largest event of its kind in terms of participating companies.
The Career Center also invited students and alumni from Cairo, Helwan, Benha, and Canadian Universities to participate, supporting inter-university collaboration and enhancing the university’s role in community service.
The fourth Career Week aims to strengthen communication opportunities between students, graduates, and major local and international companies, providing direct interviews with recruitment officers, enabling participants to secure real jobs and training opportunities that meet their career ambitions.
The event is divided into two parts: the first part is the Career Fair, held on October 19, 20, and 21 from 12 PM to 7 PM, with extensive participation from companies and institutions. The first day is dedicated to students and alumni of Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences, and Archaeology; the second day to the Faculty of Commerce; and the third day to Al-Alsun, Arts, Law, Education, Mass Communication, Archaeology, and Faculty of Girls (Arts and Education).
The second part, called “Open Recruitment Days,” is held on Wednesday and Thursday, October 22 and 23, from 9 AM to 4 PM, including on-the-spot interviews and introductory sessions with participating companies. The fourth day is for Engineering and Computers and Information Sciences, and the fifth day is for Business, Al-Alsun, Arts, Law, and Education.
