Ain Shams University President Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen confirmed in statements to the "Sabahk Masry" program broadcast on MBC Masr that there are significant and important preparations for student activities. University is a place for character building, not just education, and student activities are an important factor in shaping students' character.
He pointed out the introduction of several new programs in several faculties, including the Faculty of Commerce. These programs provide students with opportunities to help them in the job market, not only in Egypt but also across the region.
He added that studies at Ain Shams Private University have begun temporarily in some buildings, with several programs for the faculties of medicine, engineering, computer science, and commerce. He noted that the private university benefits from the parent universities in terms of accumulated experience and human resources and also provides students with the opportunity to study the field of their choice. The private branch of the university is not for profit, but its tuition fees are slightly higher than the parent university.
He pointed out that the university branch in the Administrative Capital is expected to be completed during the next academic year, indicating that Ain Shams University is the second Egyptian university after Mansoura University to be accredited by the National Authority for Quality and Accreditation of Education.
Regarding partnerships with foreign universities, he emphasized the strategic direction of all Egyptian universities to form partnerships with a number of universities. In this regard, Ain Shams University has signed an agreement with the University of Exeter, and preparations are underway for the programs to be offered by Exeter University. The foreign university will have a branch at Ain Shams University. He also noted several other agreements, including one with Harvard University, aimed at developing the capabilities of faculty members.
