The Vice President for Education and Student Affairs Inspects Electronic Coordination Labs on the First Day of the First Phase of University Admissions Coordination
As part of the on-site follow-up of the launch of the first phase of the 2026/2027 university admissions coordination, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, conducted an inspection tour of the electronic coordination laboratories at the Faculties of Arts and Computer and Information Sciences to ensure the smooth operation of the process and the quality of services provided to students.
He was accompanied during the tour by Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Rasha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences.
During the visit, the Vice President reviewed the student reception process and the availability of technical and advisory support within the laboratories. He stressed the importance of providing all necessary assistance to students and their families and responding promptly to inquiries to ensure an accurate and seamless completion of the online preference registration process.
Prof. Rami Maher Ghali emphasized that Ain Shams University is committed to providing a well-organized environment that enables students to register their preferences smoothly and efficiently. He noted that the University has dedicated all necessary human and technical resources to support students throughout the coordination period, including 16 electronic coordination laboratories equipped with 340 modern computers, in addition to trained technical support teams. Specialized laboratories have also been prepared to serve students with disabilities.
He added that the Education and Student Affairs Sector continuously monitors operations across all coordination laboratories to ensure uninterrupted services and provide the highest level of logistical and organizational support, reflecting the University’s commitment to delivering outstanding services to students and their families.
On the sidelines of his visit to the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali also inspected the Faculty’s medical center and pharmacy, reviewed the construction progress of the new theater, and followed up on several ongoing development projects and facilities, praising the Faculty’s efforts to upgrade its infrastructure and enhance educational and administrative services.
The electronic coordination laboratories at Ain Shams University operate under the supervision of the Education and Student Affairs Sector through Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for Education and Student Affairs, and the General Administration of Education and Student Affairs headed by Ms. Reham El-Atefy, Director General. The laboratories are distributed across several faculties, including the Faculties of Computers and Information and Arts on the Abbassia campus, the Faculty of Engineering in Abdo Basha, the Faculty of Agriculture in Shubra El-Kheima, and the Faculty of Girls in Heliopolis. Dedicated facilities are also available for students with disabilities at the Faculty of Arts (Vision Center) and the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences (El-Geneidy Building), ensuring accessible services for all students.
The laboratories provide free technical support to students wishing to register their preferences during official working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. throughout the first phase of electronic coordination, which runs from Wednesday, August 5, 2026, to Sunday, August 9, 2026, following the announcement by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the minimum admission scores for the first phase.
