Under the auspices of Ain Shams University, and with the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, and under the supervision and organization of the Zaffran Palace Museum, the Zaffran Palace Museum at Ain Shams University announces the hosting of a heritage art exhibition entitled "Egyptian Creations and Heritage."
The exhibition features a distinguished collection of artworks that reflect the convergence of contemporary artistic creativity with the aesthetic and heritage values of Egyptian society, within a visual framework that combines authenticity with a modern vision.
The exhibition is held for the artist Ibrahim Abdel Hafeez, an amateur visual artist who has participated in numerous art exhibitions in Cairo and abroad. This is his tenth exhibition in Cairo, reflecting a rich and diverse artistic career.
The exhibition serves as an open dialogue between art, history, and Egyptian heritage, offering a contemporary visual perspective that enriches the museum experience and underscores the vital role of university museums as vibrant cultural platforms that contribute to raising archaeological and heritage awareness and fostering artistic and creative sensibilities across all segments of society.
In this context, university and educational museums play a pivotal role in consolidating culture and disseminating artistic and social awareness. Their function is no longer limited to preserving and displaying artifacts; they have become active institutions in producing knowledge, building critical awareness, and promoting societal dialogue.
Temporary exhibitions, especially art and plastic arts exhibitions, are among the most important tools that university museums rely on to achieve this role, due to their objective flexibility and ability to interact with current issues. They contribute to presenting plastic arts as a cultural language that transcends disciplines, linking contemporary artistic production with heritage, history, and the humanities, establishing the concept of art as a means of understanding and contemplation, not just for display, opening the museum's doors to diverse community groups outside the academic framework, and supporting the principle of community partnership between the university and the surrounding community.
The exhibition will be held from February 2 to 16, 2026. The Zaffran Museum at Ain Shams University welcomes all those interested in arts and culture, including students, researchers, and the general public, to visit the exhibition and enjoy a rich and unique educational art experience.
