The Egyptian University Sports Federation has announced the opening of applications to join the volunteer team for the organization of the 12th African University Games “Cairo 2026,” scheduled to take place from September 8 to 16, 2026, with the participation of university students from across Africa.

The volunteer program is part of the preparations for the Games and provides university students and graduates with an opportunity to gain practical experience in organizing international sporting events, assisting with the reception of delegations, and communicating with participants from various African countries.

Interviews for applicants will be conducted according to the following schedule:

Saturday, August 22, 2026: 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, August 23, 2026: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Interviews will be held at the headquarters of the Egyptian University Sports Federation, inside the University Dormitories at Cairo University.

Applicants must be university students or graduates. Proficiency in English or French is required for some volunteer roles, while other positions do not require proficiency in a foreign language. Volunteers must also be fully available to attend training sessions and participate throughout the Games and are expected to attend the interview in appropriate attire reflecting the importance of the event.

Applicants are required to print and complete the volunteer application form, attach a recent personal photograph and a copy of both sides of their national ID card, and bring the completed documents to the interview.

Volunteers will receive several benefits, including certificates of appreciation accredited by the Games’ Higher Organizing Committee, official letters granting students and employees leave from their regular commitments in accordance with applicable regulations, and valuable practical experience in organizing an international African sporting event.
