Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, attended the closing ceremony of the “For Egypt Students” Summit in Ismailia. The summit was organized by the “For Egypt Students” Family under the University’s Education and Student Affairs Sector, with the participation of approximately 300 outstanding male and female students from various faculties. The event was held as part of the University’s strategy to invest in youth potential, build well-rounded student personalities, prepare future leaders capable of assuming responsibility, and encourage active participation in university and community life.

The summit was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abdeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. It was administratively coordinated and supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, as part of the student activities plan implemented by the sector through the “For Egypt Students” Family, led by Dr. Samar Ragab, General Coordinator of the “For Egypt Students” Family, with the participation of the General Administration for Youth Welfare team and the family coordinators from the University’s various faculties.

The closing ceremony was also attended by Mr. Mohamed El-Gamal, Head of the Central Administration of the University President’s Sector, along with a number of leaders from the Education and Student Affairs Sector, coordinators of the “For Egypt Students” Family at the University’s faculties, and members of the General Administration for Youth Welfare.

Prof. Rami Maher Ghali emphasized that organizing the “For Egypt Students” Summit reflects Ain Shams University’s belief that investing in youth is one of the fundamental pillars of building the future. He noted that the University’s role extends beyond providing academic knowledge to building well-rounded personalities, developing leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, and creating opportunities for students to discover their abilities, refine their talents, and transform them into practical skills and real responsibilities.

He added that the summit represents an extension of the University’s efforts to develop the student activities system, which serves as one of the key complementary components of the educational process and an effective means of preparing a generation of aware young people capable of leadership, adapting to societal changes, and making positive contributions across various fields.

The Vice President for Education and Student Affairs called on students to take advantage of the diverse student activities offered by the University, stressing the importance of active participation in developing their skills and personalities. He also encouraged them to motivate their colleagues to join various student activities and events.

During the ceremony, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali honored Major General Staff Officer Ayman Mostafa Mohamed, Director of the Armed Forces Clubs and Hotels Administration, as well as the Manager of the “Golden Jewel” Hotel in Ismailia, Colonel Hany Magdy Fakhry, and the hotel’s team, in appreciation of their hospitality and the support and cooperation provided throughout the summit.

In an atmosphere of pride and appreciation, everyone who contributed to the success of the summit was honored in recognition of their efforts and contributions throughout the training camps. The “For Egypt Students” camp trainers were honored, including Training Delegation Leader Basel Mohamed and accompanying trainers Karim El-Shaer, Nada Hamza, Omnia Mohamed, and Abdel Rahman Nasser.

The supervisory and administrative support team was also honored, represented by Mr. Mohamed Abou El-Azm from the Office of the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; the General Administration for Youth Welfare, represented by Ms. Asmaa Khater, Acting Director General of the Administration; and the Student Unions and Families Office, represented by Ms. Walaa Adel Abdullah, Ms. Sara Hussein Mahmoud, Ms. Ayat Gamal El-Din Mohamed, Mr. Karim Khaled Mohamed, and Mr. Islam Ahmed Abdel Azim. The Ain Shams University Media Office and Medical Administration were also honored, along with the students who participated in the SFE World Camp training camps, an experience featuring a distinct visual identity for each group and a journey through a number of civilizations and cultures.

The honoring began with the “For Egypt Students” teams presenting the identity of Cairo in the 1950s, followed by Greek and Hellenic themes, then Japanese and Samurai culture, Chinese culture and dragons, and finally Nubian heritage.

The “For Egypt Students” artistic committee was also honored, led by director Mohsen Rizk and choreographer Mostafa Haggag, in appreciation of their creativity and efforts in producing artistic segments, performances, and memorable artistic moments throughout the camps.

The ceremony was hosted by student Soheila Mahmoud in a festive atmosphere featuring a variety of artistic performances. The program included a distinguished performance by the “Harmony Arabi” Choir, led by Maestro Mahmoud Waheed, in addition to various artistic performances presented by the students. The celebrations reflected their talents and creativity and concluded a rich program filled with activities, events, and outstanding student experiences.

It is worth noting that the “For Egypt Students” Summit, held from Sunday, August 23, through Wednesday, August 26, 2026, represents an advanced stage in Ain Shams University’s student leadership development and preparation system. Participants were selected from among outstanding male and female students who had previously participated in the student leadership preparation camps organized by the University on a full-residential basis at the University Students’ City from July 13 to August 13, 2026, in addition to one-day leadership preparation camps held at 18 faculties across the University.

The summit represents a continuation of a progressive training pathway aimed at moving students from acquiring knowledge and skills to practical application, active participation, and assuming responsibility. This contributes to preparing qualified student leaders equipped with leadership and organizational skills and capable of effectively participating in managing and implementing various events, initiatives, and activities both inside and outside the University.

The summit was held on a full-residential basis at the Golden Jewel Resort in Ismailia through an integrated experience combining training, leadership development, practical application, interactive and recreational activities, with comprehensive hotel accommodation for all students, ensuring a suitable and stimulating environment throughout the summit.

The summit’s training program covered a number of specialized areas aimed at developing students’ capabilities and preparing them to play more effective roles within the student activities system. These included an introduction to the work structure and activities of the “For Egypt Students” Family, internal activities, simulation models, student unions, self-confidence development, etiquette and interpersonal skills, planning and organization, event management, and mechanisms for forming work teams and determining the appropriate number of team members for each event according to its nature and objectives.

The program also focused on developing students’ abilities to deal with different situations, make decisions, communicate effectively, work under pressure, distribute roles and responsibilities, and operate within integrated teams. These skills enhance their ability to manage events efficiently and prepare them to participate more effectively in university activities and various initiatives.

As part of the “For Egypt Students” Family’s commitment at Ain Shams University to diversifying training pathways and discovering student talents and potential, the Family has recently worked on developing the operations of its Artistic Committee by engaging a number of trainers and specialists in various artistic fields, led by director Mohsen Rizk. The committee selected outstanding artistic talents and worked to refine their abilities and develop their skills through specialized training workshops and artistic rehearsals held on the beaches of Golden Jewel in Ismailia.

This effort aims to establish specialized artistic teams affiliated with the “For Egypt Students” Family, bringing together outstanding students in various artistic disciplines. These teams will have the opportunity to represent the Family and the University at national and university events and major occasions, while contributing to the use of the arts as a tool for building students’ personalities, strengthening their sense of belonging, and showcasing young talents in a manner befitting the name and status of Ain Shams University.

The training program was accompanied by a comprehensive recreational and interactive program designed to balance training with enjoyment and strengthen team spirit and communication among students. Activities included yacht trips, beach activities, access to swimming pools and recreational facilities at the hotel, various group and interactive activities, as well as cultural and recreational competitions and the distribution of gifts to outstanding students.

This experience created an opportunity for outstanding students from various University faculties to get to know one another, exchange experiences, strengthen their relationships, and reinforce the values of teamwork, cooperation, discipline, responsibility, and institutional belonging to the University. Thus, the summit went beyond the traditional framework of training camps to contribute to building a more connected, aware, and capable student community with a stronger ability to participate and create meaningful impact.
