Its activities range from organizing economic forums and business seminars to promote trade, to supporting the younger generation through cultural and educational exchange programs, such as the Korea-Africa Youth Camp and the African Union Model Simulation.
The Foundation also plays a vital research role by conducting in-depth studies on political and economic trends in Africa, as well as promoting soft power through cultural and film festivals.
During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen emphasized the depth of Egyptian-Korean relations and affirmed that Ain Shams University places particular importance on developing partnerships with leading Korean institutions, especially given the pivotal role of the Korea-Africa Foundation in connecting the African continent with Korean technology and expertise.
He also highlighted the vital role of the Korean Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, which was established in 2005 as the first and oldest department of its kind in the region, in building bridges of cultural and civilizational communication and in training a generation of translators and researchers specializing in Korean affairs.
