President of Ain Shams University Receives Hungarian Ambassador to Discuss Joint Academic Cooperation

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, received Her Excellency Ms. Rita Viktorija Herncácer, Ambassador of Hungary to Cairo, and her accompanying delegation to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the university and Hungarian educational institutions.

         
   
         

The meeting was attended by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Sherweit El Ahmady, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, as part of the university's efforts to expand its international partnerships.

The meeting included a review of available educational opportunities and scholarships offered to Egyptian students, in addition to discussing mechanisms for exchanging faculty members and researchers in fields of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, presented a historical overview of the Zaffran Palace and a detailed explanation of the university's faculties. He praised the deep scientific and cultural ties between Egypt and Hungary, noting that the university aimed, through this cooperation, to open new horizons for students and researchers to benefit from Hungary's distinguished expertise in technological and scientific fields.

He emphasized that the university has always been keen to internationalize its academic programs in line with the latest global standards, considering this visit an important step in the ongoing bilateral cooperation.

For her part, Ambassador Rita Victoria Herncár expressed her pride in visiting such a prestigious academic institution as Ain Shams University, commending the advanced educational and research standards she witnessed there.

She affirmed that the Hungarian side sought, through these discussions, to increase the number of scholarships allocated to university students and to activate cooperation protocols aimed at establishing joint degree programs that contribute to strengthening cultural and scientific ties between the two countries.
