The Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025 from the PharmD – Clinical Pharmacy Program at a distinguished ceremony attended by senior University and Faculty officials, faculty staff and teaching assistants, as well as graduates’ families and students. The celebration marked the culmination of years of study, dedication, and hard work, while honoring the graduates’ academic journey and achievements.

The ceremony was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Rehab Othman, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Prof. Rola Milad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Reem El-Kabarity, Director of the University’s Alumni Association Administration. The event also featured the participation of Prof. Ahmed Abu Zeid, Program Coordinator; Dr. Doaa Hamdy and Prof. Nermeen Victor, Deputy Program Coordinators; and was attended by Dr. Mohamed El-Sheikh, Head of the Cairo Pharmacists Syndicate, along with department heads, faculty staff, and teaching assistants.

The ceremony began with a distinguished graduation procession, followed by a series of speeches conveying congratulations and pride in the graduates and their families, while highlighting the significance of the occasion as a milestone in their academic and professional journeys.

In his address, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed that the Faculty of Pharmacy is one of the University’s distinguished academic institutions. He praised its academic and research achievements and outstanding performance in scientific publishing, which contribute to strengthening Ain Shams University’s standing and leadership at both the local and international levels.

The Vice President congratulated the graduates, their families, faculty staff, and teaching assistants, emphasizing that graduation day represents the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and continuous support.

He also expressed his appreciation to the graduates’ parents, extending his sincere congratulations on their children’s graduation and noting that this achievement is the result of years of care and support. He stressed that the graduates received their education through a distinguished Clinical Pharmacy program that keeps pace with modern developments in pharmaceutical education and prepares them for efficient professional practice.

Prof. Rami Maher Ghali also expressed his appreciation for the Faculty’s academic staff and teaching assistants, describing them as a source of pride for Ain Shams University in recognition of their efforts to educate students and prepare new generations of highly qualified pharmacy professionals.

He noted that the faculty’s academic and scientific standing is a natural outcome of the excellence of its academic staff, emphasizing that university professors represent the cornerstone of preparing generations capable of competing and excelling.

He added that despite its relatively recent establishment, the faculty has succeeded in establishing a prominent position within the University and across Egypt in a relatively short period, noting that it celebrated last year the silver jubilee of the graduation of its first class.

Addressing the graduates, the Vice President affirmed that Ain Shams University takes pride in its graduates, who have become ambassadors for the University in their workplaces and communities. He encouraged them to continue learning and pursuing professional development, stressing that graduation should not be viewed as the end of their educational journey, but rather as the beginning of a new phase of knowledge, responsibility, and excellence.

He stressed that the rapid development of the pharmacy profession requires practitioners to continuously update their knowledge and skills. He also reaffirmed the commitment of the University and the Faculty to developing their educational programs in line with the latest scientific and professional advances, wishing the graduates a future filled with success and excellence.

For her part, Prof. Rehab Othman, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University, expressed her great pleasure at graduating a new class from the PharmD – Clinical Pharmacy Program, emphasizing that the occasion represents the culmination of years of collective effort by students, faculty staff, and graduates’ families.

She praised the outstanding academic and professional level achieved by the graduates and wished them continued success and excellence. She affirmed that the faculty would continue to support its graduates and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to keep pace with rapid developments in pharmacy and compete effectively in the labor market.

Dr. Mohamed El-Sheikh, Head of the Cairo Pharmacists Syndicate, praised the outstanding academic standards of students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, affirming their ability to compete effectively in the labor market. He congratulated the graduates and wished them continued success in their professional careers.

Prof. Reem El-Kabarity reviewed the services provided by the Alumni Association to University graduates, stressing the importance of maintaining communication between graduates and the University, strengthening their sense of belonging, and benefiting from the exchange of expertise in ways that support graduates’ professional development and reinforce their connection with their alma mater.

Prof. Ahmed Abu Zeid, Coordinator of the PharmD – Clinical Pharmacy Program, highlighted the academic and ethical excellence of the program’s graduates. He affirmed that the faculty takes great pride in its graduates and that its doors will remain open to them through the Alumni Unit and the Continuing Pharmaceutical Education Unit, enabling them to pursue lifelong learning, professional development, and the exchange of expertise.

The ceremony also featured a documentary video in which the graduates revisited some of their most memorable moments and experiences throughout their years of study, creating an atmosphere filled with pride, joy, and nostalgia for university life.

As part of the celebration of academic and scientific excellence, the faculty administration and Faculty Council honored teaching assistants and assistant lecturers who earned master’s and doctoral degrees during 2025–2026. Department heads, faculty staff, and unit directors were also honored in recognition of their efforts and contributions to supporting the educational and research process and advancing the faculty’s academic standards.

The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the Class of 2025 graduates from the PharmD – Clinical Pharmacy Program and the presentation of commemorative shields. The celebratory scene reflected the culmination of years of dedication and hard work, as well as the Faculty of Pharmacy’s pride in its graduates and its commitment to continuing its role in preparing scientifically and professionally qualified pharmacy professionals capable of keeping pace with the latest developments in the field, serving the community, and competing effectively in the labor market.
