In an academic demonstration reflecting the weight of Egyptian university education and its ability to compete internationally, the results of the 2026 Eduniversal global ranking of business schools revealed a new exceptional achievement for the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University, as the faculty seized absolute leadership among business schools in Egyptian public universities, occupying first place governmentally and second at the level of all business schools in Egypt, thus confirming its leadership as the most important governmental commercial educational institution in the country.
According to the official international report, the college continued to lead the academic scene by remaining in the “3 Palmes of Excellence” category, which is the high category dedicated to outstanding business schools with enhanced international impact. This is a renewed global certificate of confidence in the competitiveness of the university’s academic outputs and its ability to graduate qualified personnel capable of asserting themselves in local and international markets, under the patronage and support of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
In a related context, Prof. Farid Muharram Al-Jarhi, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that this international achievement represents a living embodiment of the pillars of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which places innovation and scientific research as fundamental pillars for building a knowledge economy. He pointed out that the faculty is moving forward in implementing a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at internationalizing higher education and updating academic regulations in line with the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities, with a focus on enhancing research leadership by working to include the faculty’s scientific journals in the global database “Scopus” to raise the university’s ranking in all international indicators.
Regarding curriculum development to keep pace with the digital age, the Dean explained that the faculty has uniquely launched unprecedented quality programs that link curricula to the actual needs of the labor market, most notably the Banking Sciences program developed in cooperation with the Central Bank of Egypt and the Banking Institute, in addition to the Business Technology program, which skillfully integrates management science, artificial intelligence, and financial technology, to prepare a new generation of leaders qualified to deal with the challenges of global digital transformation.
This qualitative distinction of the Faculty of Business aligns with the series of global leaps recently achieved by Ain Shams University. The university advanced 50 places in the 2025 QS World University Rankings, settling at 542nd globally. Furthermore, it maintained its position for the third consecutive year among the top 700 universities in the prestigious Shanghai Ranking.
