Unprecedented Achievement for Students of the Faculty of Science

In a new achievement added to the accomplishments of Ain Shams University, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Rami Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, students from the Biotechnology Department at the Faculty of Science achieved a remarkable feat by winning several top prizes in the SOLE competition (Season 12), organized by CEB under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and held at the American University in Cairo.

The students' participation was supervised by Prof. Mohamed Ragab El Satouhy, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Iman Abdel Azim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. The students participated in ten tracks within the competition and achieved top rankings in nine of them. This makes the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University the only university among the 16 participating universities (public, private, and national) across Egypt to win in nine out of ten tracks.

In this context, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen expressed his pride in the achievement and well-deserved victory of the students of the Faculty of Science, emphasizing that this is the approach of the Faculty of Science across generations. He affirmed that the Faculty of Science enjoys a prestigious international reputation, having produced pioneers of science in the Arab world and globally, and that its graduates consistently rank among the top international classifications, as evidenced by the presence of many of its scientists among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.

Prof. Mohamed Ragaa El Satouhi pointed out that this is an unprecedented achievement in the history of the competition, reflecting the leadership, academic excellence, competitiveness, and creativity of our students. He also commended the efforts of the competition's team: Prof. Samar Samir, Coordinator of the Biotechnology Program, and Prof. Soheila Mahmoud, Teaching Assistant in the Department of Entomology at the Faculty.

He also commended the efforts of students Ahmed Galal and Ahmed Tarek in organizing the teams, selecting students, and providing continuous follow-up and support throughout the competition.
