Within the framework of Ain Shams University’s strategy aimed at supporting academic excellence and enhancing integration between university education outputs and labor market requirements, and under the generous patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Languages organized the “Al Alsun Career Day 2026” event, under the supervision of Prof. Yumna Safwat Salem, Acting Dean of the Faculty and its Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The event was attended by Prof. Hala Sayed Metwally, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and with the participation of Dr. Ola Sami, Director of the University’s ASU Career Center, and was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in cooperation with the Graduate Follow-up and Vocational Training Unit at the Faculty headquarters.
The career day witnessed broad participation from major institutions and companies, reflecting the mutual trust between the university and the business sector.
Prof. Yumna Safwat Salem, Dean of the Faculty, stated that organizing this event aligns with the faculty’s vision to enhance its community role and expand cooperation with industry partners. She emphasized that the faculty is systematically developing its academic and applied programs to keep pace with the rapid changes in the labor market and enhance the competitiveness of its graduates both locally and internationally.

For her part, Dr. Hala Sayed Metwally, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, affirmed that the faculty places the development of students’ practical skills among its strategic priorities, noting that the Career Day represents an important interactive platform that contributes to introducing students to the available career paths and the requirements of employers, which helps them to draw up their future plans consciously and professionally.
Dr. Ola Sami also explained that the university’s Career Center is keen to provide an integrated system of career guidance and practical training services, in cooperation with the various faculties, with the aim of preparing a graduate who possesses the technical and personal skills that qualify him to integrate immediately into the work environment and achieve added value for his institution.
Following the official opening, the faculty’s conference hall hosted a series of introductory seminars presented by representatives of participating companies. These seminars covered available job opportunities, job application mechanisms, and the basic skills required in various sectors, giving students the opportunity to interact directly and exchange views with representatives of labor market institutions.
At the conclusion of the event, an expanded coordination meeting was held, which included Prof. Yumna Safwat Salem, Prof. Hala Sayed Metwally, Prof. Hind Asaad, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty, and a number of heads of scientific departments with company coordinators and representatives of the business sector, to present views on developing mechanisms for qualifying graduates, discussing the actual needs of the labor market, and reviewing ways to enhance joint cooperation in order to ensure that the study courses are aligned with the professionally required applied skills.
The organization of the 2026 Career Day underscores Ain Shams University’s unwavering commitment to supporting employment and entrepreneurship pathways, and to establishing sustainable strategic partnerships with business sector institutions, stemming from its national role in preparing qualified personnel who contribute effectively to achieving comprehensive development goals.
