The launch of the "Basic Judicial Skills" Training Program for New Assistant Delegates at Ain Shams University

Under the patronage of His Excellency Counselor Hussein Madkour, Head of the State Lawsuits Authority, and Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the university hosted the intensive training program entitled "Basic Judicial Skills for New Assistant Delegates," named after the martyr Counselor Mohamed Marwan. The program, organized by the State Lawsuits Authority in cooperation with the Center for Judicial Studies and Training (ISTICC), took place from February 10th to 12th.

The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Counselor Hussein Madkour, Head of the State Lawsuits Authority; His Excellency Counselor Ahmed Saad, Head of the Center for Judicial Studies and Training and Head of the Department of Coordination and Communication with Government Agencies and Bodies; Prof. Yassin El Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Prof. Hossam El Ahwany, former Dean of the Faculty of Law; and a number of faculty staff, judicial officials, and students.

During his speech, Counselor Hussein Madkour emphasized that investing in the new delegates is an investment in the future of justice and the protection of the nation's resources. He noted that the Authority is committed to preparing a generation characterized by legal competence and professional integrity. He stressed that the training program represents a true starting point for the assistant delegate, moving them from theoretical knowledge to the practical application of defending the state's rights. He asserted that "the prestige of the judiciary begins with a strong personality and extensive knowledge."

Dr. Yassin El-Shazly expressed Ain Shams University and the Faculty of Law's pride in hosting this program, emphasizing the deep ties between the academic institution and the judiciary. He stated that legal research is the "advisor's primary weapon," and that the university is committed to equipping trainees with the latest analytical methodologies that enable them to derive rulings and understand the philosophy of legislation. He pointed out that bridging the gap between practical reality and jurisprudential principles is what creates a judge and lawyer for the state who possesses the tools for excellence and distinction.

The first day included two training sessions that focused on the personal and professional aspects of the new advisors:

During the first session, Dr. Marian Qaldas, a consultant, presented on "Self-Confidence and Building a Professional Image," addressing ways to enhance personal presence in various judicial situations and how to avoid common mistakes that could affect the prestige and standing of a member of the judiciary.

The second session, presented by Prof. Yassin El-Shazly, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University, focused on "Legal Research Skills." This session aimed to equip participants with knowledge of various research sources, including legislation, judicial rulings, and jurisprudence, and to develop their abilities to analyze legal texts and connect them to specific facts.

It is worth noting that the training program will continue for the next two days to further refine the skills of the new delegates.
