As part of its commitment to empowering all students and in line with the university’s new vision, the Education and Student Affairs Sector, through the Center for Students with Disabilities at Ain Shams University, organized an intensive three-day training workshop. The event took place in the Conference and Training Hall at the main building of the Student University Campus, in collaboration with the Wellspring Foundation.

The workshop aimed to enhance the personal and academic skills of students with disabilities and link them to their future career paths. Ten students from various faculties participated in the workshop, which featured interactive activities and hands-on training lectures.

The first day of the workshop kicked off with group activities and motivational games designed to break the ice and foster a spirit of collaboration among participants. It also included a lecture on the first steps in choosing a career path, helping students explore their interests and envision their professional futures.

The second day focused on developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Activities included role-play workshops simulating detective scenarios, encouraging critical thinking and deductive reasoning. Additionally, there was a presentation on multiple intelligences, emphasizing how students can leverage their individual strengths to succeed in both daily life and academics.

On the third and final day, the workshop emphasized practical applications by connecting education to students' future goals. Participants were trained to use the SMART model (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) to set clear, actionable goals. With the guidance of trainers, each student formulated personal objectives and developed a detailed action plan to turn their aspirations into concrete steps.

The participating students expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the value of the interactive activities and training content. They praised the tangible outcomes of the workshop, noting increased awareness of the role of education in achieving their ambitions and improved skills in goal-setting and practical planning for the future.

This workshop is part of Ain Shams University’s ongoing efforts to support and integrate students with disabilities, reaffirming the belief that education is the key to opening new horizons and realizing aspirations.
