As part of strengthening academic and research cooperation between Egypt and China, Professor Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abidin, President of Ain Shams University, received a high-level delegation from South China Agricultural University, headed by Professor Li Fengliang, President of the University.
The delegation included deans of the Faculties of Agriculture and Business Administration and directors of specialized centers in agricultural sciences. The aim was to enhance the exchange of expertise in the fields of agriculture and life sciences, as well as innovation in education, and to plan joint research projects that meet Egypt's development needs.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Amany Osama, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Walaa Abdel Ghani, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Amr Shaat, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Farid Moharam, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Mona Abdel Aal El Zahery, Director of the Center for Educational Strategies and Research; Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International Students Department and Representative of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector; Prof. Nasser Abdel Aal, Director of the Confucius Institute at the University; and Dr. Dalia Youssef, Director of the Central Unit for E-Learning.
During the meeting, the most important areas of cooperation of mutual interest were discussed, such as smart agriculture, agricultural economics, and innovation in education.

The President of Ain Shams University expressed his appreciation for South China Agriculture University's ongoing contribution to the transfer of knowledge and expertise, emphasizing that Ain Shams University places great importance on partnerships with reputable Chinese universities, such as South China Agricultural University, and on strengthening its research capabilities through partnerships with international universities with strong specializations.
For his part, the head of the Chinese delegation emphasized the university's desire to open new horizons for cooperation, exchange faculty members and students, and develop joint graduate programs. The goal is to prepare research cadres from both sides to address future agricultural challenges and contribute to the development of the vocational education and training system.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Saffron Museum and the network building at the university.
