The second international conference of the International Society of Sports Nutrition will begin on Thursday, June 26, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals. The conference is organized by the Scientific Council for Clinical Nutrition at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University.

The conference will witness the attendance of a select group of local and international experts and specialists in the fields of therapeutic nutrition, sports nutrition, physical medicine, rehabilitation, psychiatry, and internal medicine, to discuss the latest recommendations and scientific research related to monitoring the health status of athletes and enhancing their physical performance in a scientific and safe manner.

The conference is organized by Dr. Sara Adel, a clinical nutrition consultant, sports nutritionist, President of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, and a faculty member at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and Dr. Al-Shaimaa Yousry, a clinical nutrition consultant, sports nutritionist, and Secretary-General of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

This edition of the conference aims to dedicate a special scientific session to the nutrition of Paralympic athletes, in addition to reviewing the latest scientific developments in related medical specialties, psychiatry, and physical medicine, with the aim of supporting athletes with disabilities and enabling them to achieve optimal physical and psychological performance.
