The faculty hosted a distinguished military figure, Lieutenant General Ali Fahmy Mohamed Ali Fahmy, former Commander of the Air Defense Forces and son of Field Marshal Mohamed Ali Fahmy, former Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Commander of the Air Defense Forces during the October War of 1973. The event highlighted one of the most remarkable military campaigns in modern history and the sacrifices made by the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The seminar was held under the supervision of Prof. Alaa Hussein, Professor of Financial Accounting at the Faculty.

The event brought together a distinguished gathering of former senior political, military, and executive officials, reflecting its significance. The seminar featured extensive discussions and documentary presentations highlighting the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Attention was given to the steadfast resistance of the Third Field Army in Suez, highlighting how Egyptian forces destroyed enemy tanks, defended the city, and inflicted heavy losses on opposing forces.

The seminar also shed light on the heroic role of the Egyptian Air Defense Forces in protecting Egyptian airspace and confronting Israeli air raids through meticulous planning and carefully coordinated surface-to-air missile ambushes that disrupted enemy operations.

The discussions traced the development and modernization of Egypt's air defense system, from the determination to establish the historic missile wall to the present day. Speakers emphasized that these sacrifices remain a cornerstone of Egypt's national security and stability, representing an enduring legacy of pride passed down from one generation to the next.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Prof. Farid Moharram El-Garhy presented the faculty’s commemorative shield to Lieutenant General Ali Fahmy in recognition of his distinguished military career and in tribute to the legacy of his father, Field Marshal Mohamed Ali Fahmy.
