Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Huda Gamal, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, the qualifying training program for new students for the 2026–2027 academic year commenced today, Sunday, with the participation of students applying for master’s, doctoral, and diploma programs across the Faculty’s three academic departments.

The one-day program was held on the fourth floor of the faculty building and featured three lectures covering scientific topics related to various childhood disciplines, with the aim of preparing new students and introducing them to the faculty’s fields of study and scientific research.

The program began with a lecture entitled “Behavior Modification Methods for Typically Developing Children and Children with Special Needs,” delivered by Prof. Huda Gamal. This was followed by a lecture entitled “Communication Technology and Its Impact on Children,” delivered by Prof. Zakaria El-Desouky, Head of the Department of Children’s Media and Culture. The program concluded with a lecture entitled “Developmental Disorders in Children,” delivered by Assoc. Prof. Reham Sabry, Head of the Department of Children’s Medical Studies.

Prof. Huda Gamal, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the new students and wished them success in their academic journey, expressing hope that the new academic year would mark a successful and productive start toward achieving their academic and research aspirations.

She emphasized the faculty’s commitment to providing a supportive academic and research environment for students and researchers and encouraging them to benefit from the expertise of faculty members, contributing to the preparation of specialized professionals capable of addressing childhood-related issues, serving the community, and advancing scientific research in this field.
