The Department of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, is organizing its sixth annual international conference in the presence of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

The conference will host many experts on the treatment of tumors from different countries of the world from America, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, England, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq, as well as Egyptian experts from Ain Shams Medicine and various Egyptian universities, a large group of specialists and concerned with the treatment of tumors in Egypt and the East. Middle East and Africa amid great anticipation of what will be explained by the sessions of the conference and discussions of the results may lead to a huge breakthrough and a comprehensive change in the treatment of tumors in the Arab and African region, especially with the rapid development of surgical methods and the introduction of radiological equipment is very complex and severe Accuracy in targeting and elimination of malignant tumors. As well as the emergence of the second generation of targeted therapies, which is a real revolution in the field of oncology, even in late cases, as demonstrated by the scientific results of research in Egypt and the developed world, which will be discussed at length during the conference.

Workshops will also be held for young doctors, physicists, technicians and pharmacists to train, acquire and exchange experiences with their peers in Egypt and the developed world.

This year, for the first time, awareness sessions will be held for the newly graduated resident physicians and faculty students in the presence of specialists from abroad to introduce them to the educational and training program for the study of radiation therapy, especially in countries with limited financial possibilities. The distinguished employees in the department are encouraged and appreciated for their service to the department and patients.

This will be held at 11:00 pm on Wednesday, 4 December at the Kempinski Hotel in New Cairo.
