New appointments of department councils heads at the Faculty of Medicine
Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, issued several decisions appointing Prof. Tarek Mohamed Lotfy Ibrahim Salem as Chairman of the Neurosurgery Department Council, effective September 15, 2025, and until October 4, 2026, the date of his legal age of retirement.
Prof. Tarek Hassan Abdel Aziz Ibrahim was appointed as Chairman of the Orthopedics Department Council, effective September 15, 2025, and until October 24, 2026, the date of his legal age of retirement.
Prof. Ashraf Kamal Mohamed Abdullah was appointed as Chairman of the General Surgery Department Council, effective September 15, 2025, and until May 10, 2026, the date of his legal age of retirement.
Prof. Ansam Ali Mahmoud Seif was appointed as Chairman of the Medical Education Department Council, effective September 15, 2025, for a period of one year. Professor Dr. Mahmoud Lotfy Ahmed Sakr was appointed as Chairman of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology, effective September 15, 2025, until March 9, 2026, the date of his legal age of retirement.
Prof. Manal Bassiouni Ahmed Gad El-Rab was appointed as Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, effective September 15, 2025, for a period of three years.
His Excellency also issued a decision appointing Prof. Nagia Ali Fahmy Yassin Ahmed as Chairman of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, effective September 15, 2025, until January 8, 2026, the date of her legal age of retirement.

Prof. Manal Mohamed El Mahdi Mohamed Ahmed was appointed as Chair of the Pathology Department Council at the Faculty of Medicine, effective September 15, 2025, for a period of three years.
