Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Rami Maher, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and within the framework of the efforts of the Egyptian Center of the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE Egypt), affiliated with the International Centre for Innovation in Higher Education (UNESCO-ICHEI)—one of the leading centers hosted by Ain Shams University—to equip academic leaders with the skills required for the digital age, the specialized applied training titled “The AI Educator’s Toolkit: Transforming Your Teaching Practice” concluded on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the computer lab of the Networks and Information Technology Center at Ain Shams University.

The training was delivered by Prof. Hany Nady Youssef, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Education and Student Affairs and Head of the Training and Technical Support Department at the Central E-Learning Unit, under the supervision of Dr. Dalia Ahmed Youssef, Director of the Central E-Learning Unit and Deputy Director of the Egyptian Center of the International Institute of Online Education.

The five-hour training witnessed distinguished participation, including Prof. Mona Hegres, Assistant Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, along with 38 faculty staff representing various partner Egyptian universities, reflecting the Center’s commitment to promoting a culture of applied AI-based learning in higher education institutions.

The program aimed to empower participants to integrate artificial intelligence across the entire teaching cycle, focusing on the following key areas:

Mastering prompt engineering in a structured manner to obtain optimal outputs from AI models.

Integrating leading tools such as DeepSeek, ChatGPT, O11 Add-ins, Copilot, Brisk Teaching, Twee, Diffit, Magic School AI, and Teachy to generate rapid content, lesson plans, and differentiated instructional materials.

Designing a course-specific interactive teaching assistant (chatbot) based solely on course content to answer students’ questions, explain concepts, and guide learning pathways.

Developing multi-level assessments (multiple choice, essays, case studies) aligned with Bloom’s taxonomy, in addition to creating effective grading rubrics.

The training concluded with the awarding of accredited certificates from IIOE Egypt, affiliated with UNESCO-ICHEI, to all participants, confirming their successful completion of the program and acquisition of practical digital competencies in integrating AI into the educational process.
