Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the new electronic testing labs at the Faculty of Arts. This comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts toward digital transformation and the development of assessment and evaluation systems, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University.
Following the inauguration, a tour was conducted in the presence of Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, along with a number of faculty members and university officials.

The tour included inspection of several halls designated for electronic testing, including Mahdy Allam Hall, Raafat Abdel Hamid Hall, and Gharbal Hall, in addition to the Faculty Council Hall, to assess the readiness of the infrastructure.
Prof. Rami Maher reviewed the workflow inside the labs, which are equipped with the latest computer systems and high-speed internet networks. The halls accommodate a large number of modern devices, enabling them to serve large numbers of students efficiently, thus providing an advanced and secure examination environment.
The Vice President confirmed that the new labs will rely on an integrated system for electronic testing and the university’s smart platforms, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and speed in grading and results processing. He also emphasized the availability of a secure electronic system that guarantees exam confidentiality and promotes fairness and transparency in assessment.
He added that these facilities aim to support midterm and final examinations, as well as research and training purposes, contributing to enhancing students’ digital skills and preparing them to engage with modern technologies.
He noted that this development represents an important step toward strengthening the position of the Faculty of Arts within the framework of smart faculties, aligning with the university’s strategy and the state’s vision for digital transformation in higher education, thereby improving the quality of the educational process and elevating the level of services provided to students.
For her part, Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally stated that the activation of electronic testing labs at the faculty is being implemented for the first time, as part of the faculty’s plan to develop its technological infrastructure and enhance digital transformation in the educational process. This contributes to modernizing assessment and examination systems according to the latest technological standards and provides an advanced learning environment that supports both students and faculty members, in line with the university’s direction toward building a smart and sustainable education system.
