In support of research excellence and to encourage scientists and researchers, and under the patronage of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Ain Shams University invites faculty staff and researchers to apply for the ninth cycle of the Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in 2026, which is dedicated to researchers in Egypt and the Arab world.

The award is granted in recognition of outstanding scientific achievements with societal impact, and to support researchers whose work contributes to providing innovative solutions to contemporary challenges and enriching human knowledge in various fields.

First: Award Categories and Values

• Medical and Health Sciences: 250,000 Egyptian Pounds + Certificate of Appreciation

• Engineering and Technological Sciences: 200,000 Egyptian Pounds + Certificate of Appreciation

• Artificial Intelligence in Education and Health: 200,000 Egyptian Pounds + Certificate of Appreciation

• Water, Agriculture, Food Security, and Environmental Sustainability: 200,000 Egyptian Pounds + Certificate of Appreciation

• New and Renewable Energy: 200,000 Egyptian Pounds + Certificate of Appreciation

• Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology Applications: 200,000 Egyptian Pounds + Certificate of Appreciation

• Humanities and Social Sciences with a Developmental Dimension: 200,000 Egyptian Pounds + Certificate of Appreciation

Second: General Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be researchers in Egypt or the Arab world.

• Applicants must have published applied scientific work in indexed international journals with a societal impact.

• Applicants must not have received a similar award or academic degree for the same work within the last five years.

• Applicants may not apply in more than one field in a single cycle.

• Applicants who have previously won the award in prior cycles are not eligible to apply.
