The Egyptian Military Academy honored a delegation from Ain Shams University, comprising students from the “For Egypt” family and distinguished participants in student union activities, in recognition of their active participation in the coexistence program for Egyptian university students alongside academy cadets, held from April 4 to 9, 2026. The program was organized in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to promote joint coexistence experiences between university and military college students.

During the honoring ceremony, Major General Staff Ihab Mohamed El-Fayoumi, Assistant Minister of Defense, Major General Staff Mohamed Salah El-Torky, Director of the Egyptian Military Academy, and Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, recognized the participating students. The event was attended by Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, along with several prominent academic and educational leaders.
The participation of Ain Shams University students was organized under the administrative coordination and supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, in cooperation with Colonel Tamer Talaat, Director of the Military Education Department at the University.

In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen expressed his sincere appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his directives enabling students from Ain Shams University and other Egyptian universities to participate in such coexistence programs with military college students. He emphasized that this initiative represents a highly significant national effort that enhances national awareness, instills values of discipline and responsibility, and familiarizes youth with the vital role played by the country’s security institutions in maintaining stability and safeguarding the nation.
He also expressed his deep appreciation to the leadership of the Egyptian Military Academy for their dedicated efforts in organizing and implementing the program through a distinguished scientific and training approach that contributes to refining students’ skills, raising their national awareness, and enhancing their ability to serve their country and actively contribute to the development process.
The University President affirmed his pride in the ongoing constructive cooperation between the Egyptian Military Academy and Ain Shams University, noting that it reflects the integration of state institutions in building youth awareness and preparing them to shoulder national responsibilities.
He further added that Ain Shams University is always keen to actively participate in such national initiatives, recognizing the vital role of universities in shaping well-rounded student personalities—not only academically and intellectually, but also in terms of national identity and values. In this context, 100 outstanding male and female students, including members of the “For Egypt” family, took part in this enriching experience that combines knowledge, discipline, and teamwork.
In his concluding remarks addressing the students, he stated: “What you have gained from this experience in terms of knowledge, values, and skills is a true asset for you and your universities. We hope you will pass on what you have learned to your peers and continue to embody the spirit of discipline and belonging in your academic and professional journeys.”
On behalf of Ain Shams University students, Ms. Ola Abdelkader Ibrahim, a student at the Faculty of Education, delivered a speech emphasizing that the coexistence experience significantly strengthened their sense of belonging and national awareness. She expressed her gratitude to Major General Staff Mohamed Salah El-Torky and the leadership of the Egyptian Military Academy for the distinguished organization and care provided throughout the program.
She also extended her thanks to the University President and the Vice President for their continuous support of student activities that contribute to preparing capable youth ready to assume responsibility and actively participate in building the New Republic.
In her remarks, she expressed pride, along with her fellow female students, in this opportunity, affirming that Egyptian women today are no longer on the margins but at the heart of the national landscape, actively participating, confidently leading, and shaping the future.
Several students were also granted honorary recognition for their outstanding performance during the program, reflecting the spirit of commitment and discipline demonstrated by Ain Shams University students. These included: Abdelrahman Alaa Abdelrahman (Faculty of Archaeology), Ahmed Waly Mohamed (Faculty of Computers), Yasmine Ahmed Abdelhamid (Faculty of Law), Jana Mohamed Hassan (Faculty of Women), and Sara Osama Sayed (French Law).
The coexistence program featured a comprehensive residential system within the academy, including accommodation, daily training sessions, educational programs, and a series of important visits. It also witnessed active engagement from “For Egypt” students and student union participants in various field activities and service programs, enhancing communication and cohesion between university students and academy cadets.
This participation comes within the framework of the activities plan implemented by the Education and Student Affairs Sector, represented by the “For Egypt” student family under the leadership of Dr. Samar Ragab, General Coordinator of “Students for Egypt,” in cooperation with the Student Families and Unions Department at the General Administration of Youth Welfare. It reflects Ain Shams University’s ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that prepare qualified youth capable of assuming responsibility and contributing effectively to building the New Republic.
