The Faculty of Dentistry organizes a specialized workshop on "How to Achieve Academic Recognition Through Scientific Research"

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Karim El Batouty, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Prof. Dalia El Qurashi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Dentistry organized a scientific workshop entitled "How to Achieve Academic Recognition Through Scientific Research."

         
   
         
         
   
         

The workshop was facilitated by:

Prof. Noha Hussein (Director of the Researchers' Support Office at the Faculty) and Prof. Ahmed El Banna (Director of the International Rankings Department at Ain Shams University).

The workshop addressed the methodological steps that help researchers publish their work in a reputable scientific journal, thus contributing to wider dissemination and enhancing the university's ranking.

The topics covered included:

Fundamentals of Scientific Research Writing: Methodology for crafting a professional title, abstract, and introduction.

Choosing the Right Journal: Criteria for selecting international journals indexed in reputable databases (Scopus, Web of Science).

International Publication Mechanisms: Steps for submitting research and how to navigate the peer review process.

Avoiding Rejection: The most common mistakes that lead to the rejection of research papers and how to address them.

Prof. Dalia Al-Qurashi stated that this workshop is part of the faculty's plan to enhance researchers' skills in producing and publishing reliable and peer-reviewed scientific research, improve the faculty's ranking in international classifications, and provide the necessary support for faculty staff and students to publish their scientific output in journals with high impact factors.

The workshop witnessed significant interaction from the attendees, who praised the lecturers' extensive scientific knowledge and the clarity of the mechanisms presented for overcoming obstacles to international publication.
