Ain Shams University Actively Participates in Top Notch Abu Dhabi 4

In line with the efforts of the Egyptian government and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to attract international students to study at Egyptian universities, in accordance with the digital transformation and Egypt’s 2030 strategy aimed at making Egypt the largest educational hub in the Middle East, Ain Shams University participated as an official platinum sponsor in the Top Notch Abu Dhabi 4 Higher Education Forum, held on January 14 and 15, 2026, in the United Arab Emirates, as part of the “Study in Egypt” initiative. The participation came under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and led by Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and head of the university delegation.

The forum was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Khalifa bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, the “Study in Egypt” initiative, and the “Top Notch” Center for Educational Services and University Admissions.

         
   
         

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Mualla inaugurated the forum on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, under the theme “Together for a Promising Future.” The event saw the participation of leading Egyptian, Emirati, and international universities, and was attended by Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President of Ain Shams University; His Excellency Ambassador Essam Ashour, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Arab Emirates; and a high-level Egyptian delegation headed by Prof. Ahmed Abdel Ghani, Head of the Central Administration for International Students, and including Prof. Saleh Hashem, former President of Ain Shams University and Head of the Language Studies Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities.

Alongside the Ain Shams University delegation, which included Prof. Dina Sami Lashin, Director of the International Students Department, Dr. Hanan Yousry Hindi, International Students Coordinator at the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Mrs. Reham Al-Ateify, Director General of Education and Student Affairs.

- Strategic Objectives and Economic and Cultural Returns

Prof. Rami Maher Ghali emphasized that the university's participation comes within the framework of supporting international students, maximizing the benefits of the knowledge economy to contribute to supporting the national economy, promoting educational tourism, and developing cultural relations with Arab, African, and Islamic countries, while highlighting Egypt's leading role in the region.

         
   
         

He pointed out that international education exhibitions represent an effective platform for enhancing the positive image of Ain Shams University and its programs, identifying the needs of international education markets, and building direct communication channels with prospective students, parents, and senior education officials.

Furthermore, during the "Top Notch Abu Dhabi 4" forum, university developments and new programs are showcased, and experiences are exchanged. International education exhibitions serve as an effective communication channel between educational and cultural institutions and their global counterparts to learn about the major achievements in the education sector in general, in addition to their role in marketing distinguished educational services. This contributes to including Ain Shams University among the internationally and regionally recommended universities for international students and enhances its position as a leading educational institution at the regional and international levels.

During Ain Shams University's participation in the dialogue sessions held on the sidelines of the forum, the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs presented a comprehensive overview of the university, highlighting the excellence of its academic programs, the diversity of its specializations, and its role in scientific research and linking educational outcomes to the international labor market.

         
   
         

Prof. Dina Lashin also gave a presentation on the system supporting international students and the educational and living services the university provides throughout their academic journey.

- Meetings to discuss establishing a University Branch in the UAE

During the visit, which took place from January 11 to 15, 2026, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali held a series of meetings with several public figures and officials in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He discussed the steps and procedures for establishing a branch of Ain Shams University in the UAE and reviewed the academic programs that meet the demands of the regional and international job market, within the framework of the university's strategy to internationalize education and enhance its international presence.

- Field Visits and Meetings with approximately 2,000 students

The university delegation's visit to the UAE also included several field visits to schools in the Emirates of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. The delegation met with approximately 2,000 students from various educational systems, including those pursuing the IGCSE, the American Diploma, and the Emirati Secondary Certificate.

   
   

The delegation also held meetings with academic advisors in schools, where experiences were exchanged on mechanisms for guiding students to choose appropriate university majors, and the international and distinguished programs offered by Ain Shams University were explained, in order to effectively support students’ academic and professional guidance.

- Official Recognition and International Marketing of University Programs

Ain Shams University was recognized for its active participation in the forum, and Prof. Rami Mahi Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, received the certificate of appreciation. The university also received several certificates of appreciation during field visits to schools in the Emirates of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.

Furthermore, the university delegation presented His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Mualla and a number of education officials and public figures with the Ain Shams University shield and a book documenting its academic history, along with informational brochures showcasing the university's programs, international rankings, partnerships with global universities, and research centers. These materials were widely praised by attendees for their high quality and the prestigious standing befitting the university's history.

Official Emirati news agencies reported on the Egyptian delegation's visit to Ain Shams University during the Top Notch Abu Dhabi Forum. The university’s active participation in the forum was highlighted, as well as the large number of students who visited the university’s pavilion at the exhibition, demonstrating the significant impact on schools and senior education officials in the UAE.
