Under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry’s Innovators Support Fund is participating as a strategic partner with Benha National University in organizing the University Innovation Forum, Innoventre 2026, under the theme: “University Innovation in the Service of Industry and Sustainable Development.” The forum is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 28 January.
In this context, Dr. Tamer Hamouda, Executive Director of the Innovators and Talents Care Fund, affirmed that this partnership comes within the framework of the Fund’s efforts to support public and national universities, strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and link it to the actual needs of industry and society. He noted that this contributes to the implementation of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
For his part, Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, expressed his pleasure with the partnership with the Innovators and Talents Care Fund in organizing the forum. He pointed out that the forum will offer a digital platform bringing together students, researchers, innovators, industry leaders, and investors. It will also showcase applicable innovative projects and ideas, feature judging panels comprising industry experts and academics, and provide awards as well as opportunities for incubation, development, and implementation within factories and companies. He invited all Egyptian universities to participate in the forum, describing it as a genuine model of partnership among education, scientific research, industry, and society.
Additionally, Dr. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President of Benha National University for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, noted that the forum focuses on several key themes, including smart industrial and digital transformation, sustainability, energy, the environment, local manufacturing and engineering innovation, industrial culture, community creativity, social innovation, and digital services. He emphasized that the forum targets a wide range of stakeholders in innovation and entrepreneurship, including university students and researchers, entrepreneurs, student innovation teams, and innovators from various disciplines.
