The Opening of the “In Saffron Colors” exhibition , the first photography and fine arts exhibition at Al-Zafaran Palace Museum, Ain Shams University

Under the umbrella of Ain Shams University, and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and hosted by the Al-Zafaran Palace Museum, the “In Saffron Colors” Fine Arts and Photography Exhibition was inaugurated in an elegant and inspiring artistic atmosphere.

The exhibition comes within the educational and cultural mission of university museums, which provide a creative environment for learning, training, and hosting artistic and innovative exhibitions that inspire imagination and foster innovation.

The exhibition features a distinguished collection of fine art pieces and photographs by a group of talented artists and creative minds, whose works reflect artistic and cultural visions that express Egyptian identity and refined aesthetic taste.

The opening of the exhibition was announced by Prof. Mamdouh El Damaty, Professor of Egyptology and General Supervisor of the Al-Zafaran Museum, accompanied by Dr. Wala El-Din Badawy, Director of the Museum. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the “Garage of Art” and “Halawet Masrna” art groups and will continue until November 18 in the temporary exhibition hall of the museum.

During the opening tour, Prof. El Damaty accompanied the participating artists and exhibitors to view their creative works, which convey rich cultural and artistic messages inspired by Egyptian heritage and collective identity.

He emphasized that such exhibitions, whether artistic or heritage-based, play a vital role in strengthening cultural and national identity and in supporting the role of educational museums as bridges connecting the university with the community, enriching the public’s artistic appreciation.

The opening ceremony concluded with a welcoming speech by Prof. El Damaty, in which he expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the participating artists and organizers, encouraging them, especially the younger generation of artists, to continue their creative journey. He also praised the exceptional quality of the exhibited works.

Finally, certificates of appreciation were presented to all participants, affirming Al-Zafaran Museum’s ongoing commitment to hosting and organizing artistic and cultural events that enrich both university life and the wider community.
