As part of the efforts of Ain Shams University’s Education and Student Affairs Sector to support students with disabilities and enhance their opportunities for active participation in university and community life, the Disability Student Services Center continues to implement a diverse range of training courses and programs aimed at developing students’ capabilities and enhancing their academic, digital, life, and professional skills. These initiatives seek to promote students’ independence and strengthen their readiness to meet the demands of education, employment, and everyday life.

These programs are implemented under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with administrative coordination by the Education and Student Affairs Sector, under the supervision and coordination of Mr. Ibrahim Said Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for Education and Student Affairs, and the supervision of Dr. Samar Ragab Hafez, Director of the Disability Student Services Center.

The courses conducted by the Center include reading and writing skills development, English language skills development, computer skills training, vocational and technical training, university success skills, and life skills development. They also include “Effective Workplace Communication” courses specifically designed for students with hearing, intellectual, and visual disabilities, as well as the “Create Your Skills with Your Own Hands” program, which focuses on developing practical and technical skills.

These diverse programs combine the development of essential learning skills with the enhancement of digital proficiency and communication abilities, the improvement of practical and life skills, and preparation for employment requirements. They are designed to accommodate students’ diverse needs while expanding their opportunities for learning, participation, and greater independence.

The Center continues its efforts to implement additional training programs and activities, further expanding skills development pathways and providing students with new opportunities to gain experience and enhance their capabilities. These ongoing initiatives reaffirm Ain Shams University’s commitment to providing a more accessible and inclusive university environment that upholds the rights of students with disabilities and opens broader horizons for learning, achievement, and preparation for the future.
