The Education and Student Affairs Sector Secures Second Place in Benha University Robotics Championship among Egyptian Universities
A new achievement has been added to the record of scientific and technological excellence of Ain Shams University students, as the “Ain Shams Smart” team secured second place in the 2026 Benha University Robotics Championship among Egyptian universities, following an outstanding performance and the presentation of innovative solutions in robotics technologies and smart systems.
This achievement reflects Ain Shams University’s commitment to supporting innovation and creativity among its students, developing their scientific and technological skills, and encouraging their active participation in specialized competitions and championships at the level of Egyptian universities. The participation was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
The University participated through the Education and Student Affairs Sector – General Administration of Youth Welfare, Scientific and Technological Activity Department, with administrative coordination and supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and under the supervision of Ms. Asmaa Ali Khater, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
The “Ain Shams Smart” team participating in the championship comprised students from the Scientific and Technological Activity Department: Mohamed Ahmed, Naira Magdy Ali, Mohamed Ali Mohamed, Salsabil Ahmed, and Manar Montaser Fathy, from the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences.
Throughout the championship, the team delivered an outstanding performance that showcased Ain Shams University students’ scientific and technical capabilities in robotics, smart systems, and technological innovation. The team ultimately secured second place among Egyptian universities, reaffirming the excellence of the University’s students and their ability to compete in various scientific and technological forums.
