Ain Shams University Wins Two Silver Medals in Table Tennis at Cairo 2026
Ain Shams University achieved another milestone at the 12th African University Games “Cairo 2026,” as the University team secured second place and the silver medal in the table tennis team competition.
Student Nour El-Din Ezzat also claimed second place and a silver medal in the Paralympic individual table tennis competition for students with disabilities, adding another medal to Ain Shams University’s tally at the Games.
Nour El-Din Ezzat’s silver medal in the Paralympic individual competition reflects Ain Shams University’s commitment to empowering students with disabilities, supporting their active participation in sports activities, and providing an inclusive environment that enables them to showcase their abilities and achieve excellence. It also underscores the University’s belief that opportunities for sporting excellence should be accessible to all its students without exception.
These results highlight the outstanding performance of Ain Shams University students throughout “Cairo 2026,” as well as their athletic abilities and competitive spirit, which have enabled them to reach the podium.
This achievement comes as part of Ain Shams University’s participation in the 12th African University Games “Cairo 2026,” represented by the Education and Student Affairs Sector and the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Sports Activities Department, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, with administrative coordination and supervision by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General for Education and Student Affairs.
