Ain Shams University Makes a Strong Start in Swimming, Claims Five Medals on Day One of “Cairo 2026”
Ain Shams University achieved an outstanding sporting result on the first day of swimming competitions at the 12th African University Games “Cairo 2026,” with its students securing five medals, four gold and one bronze. The strong performance highlights the excellence of Ain Shams University students and their ability to compete and achieve top rankings on the African stage.
This achievement comes as part of Ain Shams University’s participation in the 12th African University Games “Cairo 2026,” represented by the Education and Students Sector – General Administration of Youth Welfare, Sports Activities Department, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
The University’s participation is coordinated and administratively supervised by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
The swimming competitions continue tomorrow, with Ain Shams University aiming to maintain its strong performance, secure further medals, and proudly represent the University at this major African sporting event.
