Ain Shams University Invites Faculty Staff and Researchers to Participate in the Sixth Edition (2026) of the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences Award for Scientific Research
As part of Ain Shams University’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and encouraging faculty members and researchers to actively engage in prestigious international research awards, and under the patronage of Prof. Amany Osama Kamel, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, the University announces, based on the invitation received from the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences, the opening of nominations for the Sixth Edition (2026) of the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences Award for Scientific Research.
The Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences Award for Scientific Research aims to support outstanding scientific research featuring innovative ideas and projects in security-related fields. The award seeks to facilitate the practical application of research outcomes while promoting a culture of scientific research among academic and police communities.
Award Objectives
The award aims to:
Encourage creativity and innovation among researchers.
Enhance the quality of scientific research in security-related disciplines.
Support specialized studies and promote the adoption of their outcomes to advance police work and address future security challenges.
Award Categories
The award covers several key fields, including:
Strategic Leadership and Institutional Excellence.
Forensic Sciences, including Artificial Intelligence and Cybercrime.
Sustainability and Community Security, including Risk Management and Security Quality of Life.
Eligibility
Participation is open to:
Institutions.
Individual faculty staff, researchers, and students.
Joint research projects, in accordance with the award regulations.
Award Prizes
Prizes are awarded across all participation categories (institutional, individual, and joint) as follows:
First Prize: AED 50,000.
Second Prize: AED 15,000.
Third Prize: AED 10,000.
Additional Incentive
A reward of AED 5,000 will be granted for each research paper that successfully passes the peer-review stage and is accepted for publication.
Eligibility Requirements
Submitted research must:
Be original and unpublished.
Fall within the award’s designated research fields.
Comply with recognized scientific and methodological standards.
Evaluation Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
Scientific value.
Originality and innovation.
Sound research methodology.
Quality of analysis and findings.
Language quality and presentation.

Deadline for faculties to submit nominations to the University: 17 September 2026.
Final submission deadline to the Award: 11 October 2026.
