STEP UP Project at Ain Shams University Introduces a Specialized Track for International Teacher Preparation
Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the University continues, through its STEP UP project, to offer specialized learning tracks designed to develop future skills and prepare highly qualified graduates for an increasingly competitive labor market. Among these is the International Teacher Preparation track, which is designed to prepare teachers for careers in international schools, International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, and other global educational institutions in accordance with the latest international standards.
The track aims to develop the professional competencies required for international education by equipping participants with specialized English language skills for teaching, modern instructional strategies, data-informed assessment practices, and curriculum design and mapping. It also offers an elective module on the integration of artificial intelligence and technology into teaching and learning.
The program comprises a series of accredited Micro-Credentials, providing participants with the flexibility to pursue individual certificates or complete the full track according to their academic and professional goals.
Combining academic learning with practical application, the program incorporates classroom simulations to strengthen participants' teaching competencies and enhance their readiness to work in international educational environments.
