Accreditation of the Ancient European Civilization and Languages Program at the Faculty of Arts by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education

In a new academic achievement, the Bachelor’s Program of the Department of Ancient European Civilization and Languages (Credit Hour System) has been accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, marking another step that reflects the Faculty’s success in consolidating a culture of quality and achieving academic excellence in accordance with the highest national standards.

Prof. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, expressed her great pride in this achievement, which adds to the series of successes accomplished by the faculty in the field of quality assurance and accreditation. She affirmed that the program’s accreditation reflects the tremendous efforts exerted by the Department of Ancient European Civilization and Languages, faculty staff, teaching assistants, and administrative staff, in addition to the continuous institutional support provided by the University administration to enhance the quality of education and advance academic programs.

The Dean extended her sincere appreciation to Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, for his ongoing support of the University’s quality assurance and accreditation system, and for his strong belief in the importance of developing academic programs and enhancing their competitiveness in line with contemporary requirements and the University’s vision of excellence and leadership.

She also expressed special thanks and appreciation to Prof. Howaida Abdel Hamid Mostafa, Director of the Faculty’s Performance Evaluation and Quality Assurance Unit, in recognition of her continuous efforts and meticulous follow-up throughout all stages of preparation for accreditation, as well as her dedicated work in promoting a culture of quality and providing technical and advisory support to the various academic departments, which greatly contributed to achieving this distinguished accomplishment.

The Dean further praised Prof. Naglaa Ezzat, Head of the Department of Ancient European Civilization and Languages, for her dedication and sincere efforts in leading the department’s team, effectively managing the accreditation process, and fostering teamwork among faculty staff and teaching assistants, ultimately ensuring the fulfillment of all requirements and standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education and achieving this well-deserved success.

The Faculty also reaffirmed its appreciation to Prof. Howaida Abdel Hamid Mostafa, Director of the Faculty’s Performance Evaluation and Quality Assurance Unit, for her sustained efforts and close supervision of all accreditation preparation stages, along with her active role in spreading the culture of quality and providing technical and consultative support to the academic departments, which played a significant role in achieving this honorable accomplishment.

The faculty emphasized that this accreditation was not achieved overnight but rather represents the culmination of years of dedicated work, continuous development, and commitment to quality standards. The program has undergone numerous academic and administrative development processes aimed at enhancing the scientific content, teaching and assessment methods, and educational services provided to students, ensuring the preparation of graduates capable of competing and contributing effectively to the fields of knowledge and scientific research.
