Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Nawal Gaber, Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and as part of the field training for the course "Landmarks of Greek Egyptian History and Antiquities," first-year students from all programs within the Faculty of Archaeology completed their field visits with an educational trip to the city of Alexandria.
The tour was supervised by Dr. Rasha Ishaq, Director of the Field Training Unit, and Mr. Mohamed Mamdouh, Deputy Director of the Unit, and accompanied by Prof. Nagwa Ibrahim, Dr. Kholoud Aref, and Dr. Alia Mohamed.
The visit witnessed significant student engagement with the field explanations provided by a select group of teaching assistants at the Faculty.
The tour was meticulously organized to ensure its objectives were met, with the participation of Dr. Rabab Jada, Dr. Noura Hussein, Dr. Hala Mustafa, Dr. Dina Mohsen, Ms. Hadeer Mohamed, Ms. Mariam Atef, and Ms. Shahd Mohamed.
The visit is part of the faculty's plan to connect academic content with archaeological realities and enhance students' skills in understanding the characteristics of Greek architecture and antiquities in their birthplace, Alexandria.
